Founded in 1988 by Conchita Espinosa, Fru-Veg Marketing, Inc.® was built on the belief that the key to providing quality produce is not in picking commodities, but in choosing the right growers.

Since its inception, Fru-Veg Marketing, Inc.® has been one of the nation’s leading importers of fine produce from exceptional growers in Europe, South and Central America. In recent years we have expanded to include domestic product as well, fostering new relationships and providing fresh produce year-round.
Albert Grimaldi and Steven Espinosa acquired the company in 2020.
Albert has been in the produce industry since 1981 when he began his own farming operation, during which time he forged important relationships with several well-known retailers. In 1990 he helped to create the produce operation for C&S wholesale grocers, taking it from a start-up, to one of their largest produce distributors in the US. With over 40 years of experience in produce, Albert is an invaluable member of this rapidly growing company.
Steven has been with Fru-Veg Marketing, Inc.® since 1998, working in all aspects of the company, allowing him to establish a personal and familial relationship with our customers and growers. Many growers began their business ventures with Fru-Veg Marketing, Inc.®, providing only one commodity. Through the years, several have grown with us to expand their product list and provide our customers with even more quality product.
